The results of the Tawe Trial Community Consultation Project, which included the Smart Nature Conference, several community consultation events and public surveys, has now been published. The project was coordinated by Swansea Environmental Forum in collaboration with Natural Resources Wales which is carrying out the wider Tawe Trial.
The Tawe Trial is one of three trials taking place in different parts of Wales to explore ways to develop ‘area statements’ (plans) for the management of natural resources. NRW is promoting an integrated and inclusive approach to natural resource management in Wales which engages local communities and draws attention to the benefits that we gain from the natural environment – often referred to as ecosystem services.
