The 2016 Environmental Events Swansea leaflet has now been published (see attached) with around 250 events and activities taking place in and around Swansea from March to December. These include guided walks and cycle rides, a wide range of talks, workshops and training courses about wildlife and environmental issues, and lots of children’s activities in amazing natural settings. Most of the events are FREE or at low cost so everyone can get involved.
There are several festivals or large events to enjoy too, such as the Wales Biodiversity Week and Bike Week in June, the Gower AONB 60th Anniversary Celebrations and the Sculpture by the Sea Festival in July, the Gower Cycling Festival in August and the annual Green Fayre in November.
The leaflet is produced by the City and County of Swansea’s Nature Conservation Team with funding from Natural Resources Wales. Details of over 40 local organisations and projects, most of which contribute events to the programme, are also provided in a contact list at the back of the booklet.
A printed version should be available in the last week of February from a wide range of venues, attractions and information points in the area including libraries, the Civic Centre and the Environment Centre.
