2017 Environmental Events Swansea Published

Return to previous page

The 2017 Environmental Events Swansea leaflet has been published with well over 200 events and activities taking place in and around Swansea from April to December. These include guided walks and cycle rides, a wide range of talks, workshops and training courses about wildlife and environmental issues, and lots of children’s activities in amazing natural settings. Most of the events are FREE or at low cost so everyone can get involved.

There are several festivals or large events to enjoy too, such as the Wales Nature Week and Bike Week in June, the Beach Sculpture Festival in July, the Gower Centennial Show and Gower Cycling Festival in August and the annual Green Fayre in November.

The leaflet is produced by the City and County of Swansea’s Nature Conservation Team with funding from the Welsh Government Single Revenue Grant. Details of over 40 local organisations and projects, most of which contribute events to the programme, are also provided in a contact list at the back of the booklet.

The PDF can be viewed and downloaded from www.swansea.gov.uk/environmentalevents.
A printed version is also available from a wide range of venues, attractions and information points in the area including libraries, the Civic Centre and the Environment Centre.
